Lithium-ion batteries last longer (3+ years vs 1–1.5 years for lead-acid), charge faster, weigh less, and have lower total cost of ownership. Lead-acid is cheaper upfront. We recommend lithium-ion for commercial use.
Lithium-ion batteries carry a 3-year (or 60,000 km, whichever earlier) warranty against premature capacity loss. Lead-acid batteries carry a 1-year warranty subject to model. See Warranty Policy for full details.
